PRESS RELEASE

December 10, 2018

Today global media localization company BTI Studios announced the acquisition of Italian dubbing studios La BiBi.it (La BiBi) and Multimedia Network, who were formerly part of the Recandub group.

Both studios are based at the heart of the Italian dubbing industry in Rome, and will bring an experienced team to the BTI Group with La BiBi establishing itself in 1990 and Multimedia Network in 1999. Between them they have dubbed thousands of hours of well-loved shows ranging from Sopranos to Peppa Pig.

The deal follows BTI’s recent acquisition of top German and Dutch dubbing studios Berliner Synchron and Creative Sounds, and increases BTI’s capacity to 73 recording studios across 25 facilities spanning Europe, the US and Asia.

Björn Lifvergren, BTI Studios founder and leader of the M&A team, commented on the deal; “Many of our customers are targeting the Italian market, and high quality dubbing is a must for engaging audiences in Italy. La Bibi and Multimedia Network’s quality, capacity and strong relationships in-territory will greatly enhance BTI’s Italian dubbing offering for our customers.”

COO Giulia DeAngelis and CEO Nicola Bruno will continue to lead the studios, and, together with their highly professional team, bring their vast experience in the Italian dubbing market to BTI Studios.

Giulia De Angelis commented on the transaction; “We are very excited to join BTI Studios, one of the few truly international localization companies. Being part of the BTI Group will help us to improve our technology and organization so that we can be even more competitive in a challenging market.”
