Perella Weinberg Partners has named six to become partners. The new partners are John Rusty D’Anna, Jason D. Forschler, Jeffrey P. Knupp, Alexander T. Tracy, James R. Wappler and Benjamin G. Wilcox. The appointments become effective January 1, 2019.
New York, December 17, 2018 – Perella Weinberg Partners (“PWP”) today announced that it has elected six individuals to join the firm’s Partnership, effective January 1, 2019:
John Rusty D’Anna – Houston, Securities
Jason D. Forschler – San Francisco, Advisory
Jeffrey P. Knupp – Denver, Advisory
Alexander T. Tracy – New York, Advisory
James R. Wappler – New York, Advisory
Benjamin G. Wilcox – New York, Advisory

Mr. D’Anna is Head of Sales & Trading with responsibility for managing the daily operations and setting strategic direction for the equities business.
He has 11 years of experience. He previously served as a vice president at Credit Suisse. Before that, he was an associate at Citigroup.
Mr. D’Anna holds a BSBA from Appalachian State University and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
Mr. Forschler focuses on advising a broad range of clients in the healthcare sector on M&A and capital raising transactions.
Mr. Forschler has more than 14 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners, Mr. Forschler was a member of the Healthcare Investment Banking teams at J.P. Morgan and Piper Jaffray. He started his career with Deloitte.
Mr. Forschler received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status).
Mr. Knupp focuses on advising upstream clients in the energy sector.
Mr. Knupp has more than 10 years of investment banking experience. He previously served as a petroleum engineer consultant for Netherland, Sewell & Associates. Prior to that, Mr. Knupp was an exploitation engineer at Merit Energy Company. He began his career at ExxonMobil Development Company as a reservoir engineer.
Mr. Knupp holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
Mr. Tracy focuses on advising clients in connection with corporate restructurings, financings and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Tracy has more than 18 years of investment banking experience assisting companies on a wide range of strategic matters. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in July of 2016, Mr. Tracy was at Miller Buckfire & Co. from 2006 to 2016, where he most recently served as a Managing Director in the restructuring group. He was previously a Vice President of Chanin Capital Partners, where he advised clients on corporate restructurings and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, Mr. Tracy was an Associate in the mergers and acquisitions group at Prudential Securities.
Mr. Tracy earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and English from Amherst College.
Mr. Wappler focuses on advising clients in the Consumer / Retail sector.
Mr. Wappler has more than 12 years of experience advising companies on a wide range of strategic and financial matters. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in August of 2009, Mr. Wappler was at Deloitte Consulting and Mercer Consulting, where he served as a Consultant responsible for advisory engagements across a diversified set of industries.
Mr. Wappler earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from The University of Texas and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
Mr. Wilcox focuses on advising clients across sectors on a variety of strategic matters and transaction types.
Mr. Wilcox has more than 14 years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners in March of 2009, Mr. Wilcox was at Lehman Brothers from 2006 to 2009, most recently serving as a Vice President in the Global Communications and Media Group. He was previously an Associate of Banc of America Securities, where he focused on financing and advisory work in the media sector. Before becoming a banker, Mr. Wilcox worked as a financial analyst in private equity in Moscow and New York.
Mr. Wilcox earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
