PRESS RELEASE

CHICAGO (PRWEB) DECEMBER 05, 2018

Tillman Private Equity Services, LLC (“Tillman”), a leading Fund Administrator for Private Equity and SBIC Funds, announced today that Chris Rakers has joined as Managing Director to lead Tillman’s Fund Administration and Outsourced CFO business.

“I’m excited to join Tillman and work alongside a truly dynamic team that has deep roots in the Private Equity and SBIC space,” said Rakers. “Increased demand from limited partners, regulators, and auditors for technology and transparency is driving this current shift towards an outsourced Fund Administration model for Private Equity funds. Tillman’s exceptional reputation, first-class talent, and focus on innovation made this a really attractive opportunity for me.”

Rakers brings 14 years of experience in the Private Equity and Hedge Fund industry, most recently as a Senior Manager at NAV Fund Administration Group where he helped the firm almost double its assets under administration from $38 billion to $65 billion during his 4 years there. Prior to that Rakers served as Chief Operating Officer at Custom House Fund Services (now part of Apex Fund Services) where he managed a 200+ person Fund Administration team across the US, Europe, and Asia. He began his career as a Fund Accountant at Northern Trust.

In 2017, Tillman was acquired by the Private Equity consulting group, E78 Partners, LLC (“E78”).

“We are thrilled to have Chris join our growing team and lead Tillman through this next phase of growth,” said John Signa, Managing Director of E78 Partners, LLC. “Tillman’s Fund Administration business complements E78 and solidifies our complete front to back office solution for Private Equity funds, GPs, and the Portfolio Companies they invest in.”

“The shift towards outsourced Fund Administration in the Private Equity space continues, and Chris’ experience and knowledge of the industry will be valuable as we navigate through changes in regulation and the evolving needs of GPs and LPs,” said Gary Modrow, Managing Director of E78 Partners, LLC. “We see a lot of parallels in the recent trend for outsourced Fund Administration in Private Equity and the evolution of Hedge Fund Administration over the past decade, and believe Tillman is well-positioned for exponential growth in the coming years.”
