Boston-based venture firm Pillar, which invests in companies focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve business problems, has raised $84.875 million for its second fund, according to a regulatory filing. The firm raised the commitments from 65 investors, the filing said. For its inaugural fund, the firm nearly $48 million in 2017 from 50 LPs, according to a filing at the time. The firm’s partners include Jamie Goldstein, Sarah Hodges and Russ Wilcox.
