Duties include leading the origination, due diligence and fundraising/execution of private equity commingled funds, co-investments and direct equity investments for U.S.-based private equity and credit managers; conducting due diligence on and underwriting potential managers and mandates; preparing marketing materials; and coordinating road shows. Senior vice president/principal-level equivalent with a minimum of eight years of total experience is required, including at least six years’ experience in private equity within a placement agent, private equity fund, institutional investor, investment consultant and/or investment bank. Fortress Investment Group is searching for an associate to join its transportation and infrastructure group. The hire will analyze and execute investment and asset management strategies; develop flexible financial models and perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analyses and modeling; conduct financial and business diligence and evaluate new product development and acquisitions; and provide analytical support for debt and equity transactions. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or economics; and two to four years of experience as an analyst at a top investment bank, most preferably in transportation, industrials, real estate or M&A industries. Lazard Middle Market is on the hunt for an investment banking associate for its consumer, food and retail team. Responsibilities include the preparation of and participation in new business presentations; valuation analysis and financial modeling; the development of potential buyer lists; significant client interaction at multiple levels; and interaction with potential buyers. Candidates should have strong undergraduate and graduate academic performance (3.5 GPA or better); an MBA or equivalent graduate school degree in progress is preferred but not required. Also, he or she should have three years of experience as an analyst or at least one year of experience as an associate strongly preferred. The position is in Minneapolis.
