Ironwood Capital Management is looking to hire an investor relations associate. The hire will provide broad sales support to internal and external sales team including but not limited to: meeting preparation, materials creation and fulfillment, calendar management, catalog sales notes, e-file maintenance, analytics and ad-hoc projects. Also, he or she will attend periodic onsite client/prospect meetings and conference calls and participate in one to two roadshows annually. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a strong academic record and one to two years of financial services or sales experience. The position is in Chicago.
BlackRock is searching for an institutional asset management attorney. The role will involve client contracting, advisory and outsourced chief investment officer engagements and investments in third-party private funds. The hire would also support BlackRock’s broader illiquid alternatives business. Candidates should have a J.D. with superior academic credentials from a nationally-recognized law school and four to six years’ experience as a lawyer in the asset management or fund formation group within a major law firm, a legal department of a diversified investment management firm or the asset management division of an investment bank. Fund formation and contract negotiation experience are required, as well as familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Dodd-Frank Act and federal securities laws. The position is in New York City.
