Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Macquarie, Hg, Apollo and Ropes & Gray are hiring

Macquarie is searching for a vice president focused on private equity and private credit fund coverage within the credit markets division. The hire will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with private equity and private credit funds to support the portfolio and single-credit financing businesses. Also, he or she will work with the head of the division to shape client coverage and product strategy for funds. Candidates should have four to eight years within the structured financing areas of commercial banks, investment banks or funds. The position is in New York City.

Ropes & Gray has multiple openings for a mid-level private equity transaction associate. Duties include assisting in advising private equity sponsors on all aspects of proposed transactions; facilitating in drafting and negotiating private equity transaction documents; and coordinating due diligence process for private equity transactions. Candidates should have a Juris Doctor degree or Master of Law degree (or foreign equivalent). The individual must also be admitted to the New York State Bar. A minimum of three years of legal experience in private equity transactions is required. The position is in New York City.

Apollo Global Management is looking to hire a private equity associate. Duties include performing company and industry due diligence; and monitoring existing portfolio companies, which include evaluating platform and add-on acquisitions and evaluating exit options. Also, he or she will develop investment committee memoranda and materials with senior team members; and present and participate in investment committee meetings. Candidates should a bachelor’s degree with an exceptional record of academic achievement and have at least two years of experience in investment banking. The position is in New York City.

Hg is seeking a private equity associate to focus on B2B software. The hire will be responsible for evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities, financial and operational modeling, strategic and operational involvement with existing portfolio companies, and industry research and market analysis. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials (both undergraduate school and GPA) and at least one to three years of top-tier investment banking, consulting and/or private equity experience. The position is in New York City.
