Veritas racks up $6.5 bln for seventh fund

Veritas Capital has raised $6.5 billion for its seventh fund, beating its initial $5 billion target.

Veritas Capital Fund VII will invest in technology-focused companies that provide products and services to government-related and commercial customers.

The fund’s backers include Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, as previously reported by PE HUB’s sister site Buyouts.

In 2017, Veritas Capital closed its sixth fund at $3.55 billion, sweeping past its $3 billion target. No performance data was available on the fund.

Based in New York City, the private equity firm has completed more than 90 acquisitions, reported its website. Ramzi Musallam serves as CEO and managing partner.
