AlpInvest makes promotions

AlpInvest Partners has promoted Michael Hacker to managing director and Michael Camacho to principal. Both joined AlpInvest’s secondary investment team in New York in 2007.


AlpInvest Partners (AlpInvest), the private equity fund of funds arm of The Carlyle Group’s Solutions
platform, today announced that it promoted Michael Hacker to Managing Director and Michael
Camacho to Principal.
Michael Hacker joined AlpInvest’s Secondary Investment team in New York in 2007. He is
responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing transactions in the North American market.
Previously, Michael worked for UBS Investment Bank and CIBC World Markets. Michael
received a BA in History, cum laude, from Williams College and an MBA from The Wharton
School, University of Pennsylvania.
Michael Camacho joined AlpInvest’s Secondary Investment team in 2007. He is currently
based in Hong Kong where he leads the Asian Secondaries business. Previously, he was based
in AlpInvest’s New York and Amsterdam offices. Michael joined AlpInvest from Bear Stearns’
Investment Banking Division. He received a BA in Economics and History from Columbia
