Capital croissance PME invests $1.6 mln in Rotoplast acquisition

Capital croissance PME has invested $1.6 million in the acquisition of ACO Container Systems Ltd by Rotoplast Inc. Based in Pickering, Ontario, ACO is a maker of medium-sized and large plastic industrial storage tanks. The acquisition of the company by Rotoplast, an East Farnham, Québec-based rotational moulder, was closed last month. No financial terms were released. Capital croissance PME II is a private equity fund sponsored by Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.

With support from the Capital croissance PME fund, Rotoplast has acquired ACO Container Systems, an Ontario based manufacturer of medium-sized and large, plastic industrial storage tanks.


Founded in 1994, Rotoplast is an OEM plastic product manufacturer using a rotational moulding system. The East Farnham-based company targets clients in various industries including recreational vehicles and urban transportation, signage, security and water sports. Rotoplast offers turnkey service in new product development including the design, computer-aided design, prototyping, tool making, moulding and assembly. Rotoplast now employs nearly 50 people.


Capital croissance PME, the combined strength of Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, is an investment fund with the primary mission of providing patient capital to Québec SMEs to carry out a variety of expansion projects.
