Acadia Healthcare buys HCP’s TrustPoint Hospital of Murfreesboro

TrustPoint Hospital of Murfreesboro (“TrustPoint”), a behavioral health hospital located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and a portfolio company of HCP & Company (“HCP”), has been acquired by Acadia Healthcare (“Acadia”) (Nasdaq: ACHC), one of the nation’s largest providers of behavioral healthcare services. Cain Brothers served as the sole advisor to TrustPoint in connection with the sale and initiated, structured and negotiated the transaction.

Founded in 2012, TrustPoint currently operates 101 beds (CON approved up to 129) and provides inpatient/outpatient behavioral health treatment, acute medical treatment and rehabilitation programs for adults and seniors. TrustPoint’s quality reputation and position in the market have resulted in very strong relationships with referral sources in its service area, having been referred over 6,000 patients from over 300 hospitals, physicians and treatment centers from a number of different counties across Tennessee.

Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia Healthcare was established in January 2005 to develop and operate a network of behavioral health facilities across the country. Acadia provides psychiatric and chemical dependency services to its patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, specialty treatment facilities, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics and therapeutic school-based programs.
