Carlyle-owned 1insurer, a provider of software for the policy and claims insurance sector, has named Yogesh Shinde as chief technology officer. Previously, Shinde worked at OptumInsight, which is part of the UnitedHealth Group. There he led the development of the company’s tech teams and its software portfolio.

Yogesh Shinde joins from OptumInsight (part of UnitedHealth Group) where he led the strategic development of the company’s technology teams and the development and delivery of the company’s software portfolio including Analytics, Population Management, Care Coordination, and Healthcare Information Exchange. With more than 30 years in Technology and Software Development across a range of disciplines, including R&D, collaborative product design and emerging technologies in an Agile environment, Yogesh is ideally placed to further enhance 1insurer’s impressive track-record in product innovation and delivery.
Yogesh’s appointment follows 1insurer’s acquisition by The Carlyle Group (“Carlyle”) in 2015 and signals Carlyle’s continuing investment in 1insurer’s products and services.
