Constellation Software affiliate buys OSS unit of Boston’s ABN

Volaris Group, an operating company of Constellation Software Inc, has bought the operations support systems (OSS) solutions business of Boston-based Advanced Broadband Networks (ABN). No financial terms were disclosed for the acquisition, which is Volaris’ third in the communications vertical market. The acquired business has become a division of Vancouver’s Incognito Software Systems, a Volaris affiliate. Constellation, a Toronto-based acquirer, manager and builder of vertical market software companies, is a portfolio investment of OMERS Private Equity.

Volaris Group Expands Position in Communications Vertical With Acquisition of Active Broadband Network’s OSS Business

TORONTO, ON–(Marketwired – June 09, 2016) – Volaris Group today announced that it has acquired Boston-based Advanced Broadband Networks (“ABN”) Operations Support Systems (OSS) solutions business. The acquisition is Volaris’ third acquisition in the Communications vertical market.

With their deep understanding of internet broadband operator needs, ABN develops OSS solutions that help Communication Service Providers (CSPs) analyze subscriber-based broadband habits and dynamically bill them based on their usage. ABN has customers in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe.

The acquired ABN business line becomes a business unit of Incognito Software Systems, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
