Private Equity Jobs of the Week: Blackstone, Prudential, Citi Ventures are hiring

The Blackstone Group has an opening for a research associate. Responsibilities include participating in and providing guidance on qualitative and quantitative research projects, developing deep working relationships across all of the firm’s various business groups, and providing guidance to junior resources and offshore teams. The position requires three to seven years’ experience in business intelligence/corporate research in a financial services environment, as well as in-depth knowledge of markets and associated data services and products. The position is located in New York.

The Prudential Insurance Company‘s Alternative Assets Group is seeking a private equity investment professional. The hire will aid portfolio managers in all aspects of investment sourcing, underwriting and diligence for primary fund investments, co-investments and secondary investments. He or she will also perform ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting, work with operations, accounting, tax and legal departments, and conduct market, industry, and strategy research. Qualifications include five years of experience in private equity, credit underwriting, valuation work or investment banking. The position is located in Newark, New Jersey.

Citi Ventures is seeking a group manager to join the investor team as a deal lead. He or she will source, lead diligence, and complete investments; manage portfolio companies post-investment; lead commercialization activity with emerging companies; build a pipeline of leading startups that fit with the strategic investment themes; and contribute to external communications to demonstrate Citi thought leadership. Candidates need eight to ten years of work experience, including three to five years of venture investing with a leading firm or in a corporate setting, ideally with a focus on security/enterprise technologies.  The position is located in San Francisco.

F-Prime Capital is searching for an associate, to focus primarily on fintech. Work will include sourcing new investments from traditional channels and informal networks; conducting diligence in the form of financial modeling, customer interviews, market analysis and competitive benchmarking; assisting portfolio companies with customer introductions and employee recruitment; carrying out primary research on industry trends; and assisting with fund administration and reporting.
