Thoma Bravo promotes two, hires vice president from Berkshire Partners

Thoma Bravo promoted A.J. Rohde to partner and Andrew Almeida to vice president. The firm also hired Tara Gadgil as vice president. Rohde joined Thoma Bravo in 2010 as vice president after working at the Saban Capital Group. Almeida joined the firm in 2012 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Gadgil joined the firm after working as a vice president at Berkshire Partners.

Thoma Bravo, LLC, a leading private equity investment firm, has announced it has promoted A.J. Rohde to partner. The firm also has promoted Andrew Almeida to vice president and has hired Tara Gadgil as vice president.

Rohde joined Thoma Bravo in 2010 as a vice president after previous experience with Saban Capital Group, Inc., and Jefferies & Company. Most recently a principal at Thoma Bravo, he has been instrumental in the acquisition and development of software portfolio companies including Deltek, Internet Pipeline, PowerPlan, TravelClick, Digital Insight, Roadnet Technologies and Telestream; and, most recently, Infogix. Rohde earned an MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA degree in economics from Villanova University.

Almeida joined Thoma Bravo in 2012 from the New York office of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking division. He earned an MS degree in finance from Vanderbilt University after obtaining a BBA degree in finance and economics from the University of Wisconsin.

Gadgil joins Thoma Bravo after spending the past two years as a vice president with Berkshire Partners in its Boston office. Prior to that, she held positions with Goldman Sachs, TPG Growth and Capital Group. She earned her MBA degree from Stanford University after obtaining a BA degree in government and economics from Harvard University.
