Accordion, a private equity-focused financial consulting and technology firm, has hired Tiberius Vadan as managing director. Vadan’s work background includes serving as a partner at KPMG and a senior director at Alvarez & Marsal. Vadan will be based in New York.
NEW YORK, AUGUST 16, 2018 — Accordion, a private equity-focused financial consulting and technology firm, today announced that it has hired Tiberius Vadan as Managing Director. Vadan will further strengthen Accordion’s expertise in merger integration. He will be based in Accordion’s New York office.
“As we’ve always said, ‘the devil is in the integration details,’ and that’s an area with which Tiberius is intimately familiar,” said Gary Moran, Managing Director; Head of Financial Accounting and Advisory Services, Accordion. “We’re thrilled to have him onboard where he’ll help private equity sponsors and their portfolio company management teams create value through M&A and navigate the tricky integration process that follows.”
Vadan brings to Accordion more than two decades of relevant deal experience across multiple sectors. He’s led, or been involved with, over 150 private equity and corporate acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings. Vadan has significant experience leading cross-functional teams throughout the transaction lifecycle in midsize and large private and public companies.
Prior to joining Accordion, Vadan was a part of the team, which spearheaded the restructuring of IBM. There, he oversaw multiple transactions, joint ventures, management and market offerings, and partnership restructurings. In his partner role at KPMG, he led dozens of deals from diligence through the execution of value creation initiatives. As a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal, Vadan focused on the private equity sector, building the A&M PE capabilities and methodologies, and serving in management roles at portfolio companies.
His early career years were spent with Morgan Stanley’s M&A Investment Banking team and with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy and Operations team.
“I’ve been on the buy-side and sell-side, and now I’m thrilled to join Accordion where I’ll sit squarely on the value creation side,” said Vadan. “I look forward to supporting Accordion’s client roster of over 150 fund sponsors and portfolio companies, as they seek to gain greater value from their merger integration activities. That I get to do so with Accordion, itself a high growth company, makes this an exciting next chapter in my career.”
Vadan graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA in Strategy and Finance. His undergraduate degree – a Bachelors’ Degree in Finance and Management information Systems – is also from Harvard, where he was awarded Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Accordion is the go-to partner to the private equity community – driving value creation through financial consulting services and portfolio operations technology. As the only firm focused exclusively within the office of the CFO, Accordion acts as an extension of mid and large-cap sponsors’ internal resources and operations groups to support initiatives across the entire finance function.
