Accordion Partners names new director

Accordion Partners has hired Hal Polley as a director. Previously, Polley was head of finance for MDx Medical. Based in New York, Accordion Partners is a private equity consulting firm.

Accordion Partners, the New York based private equity consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Hal Polley will be joining the company as a Director. Hal brings over twenty years of private equity experience to Accordion, bolstering Accordion’s resources and allowing the company to even more thoroughly support value creation for private equity portfolio companies.

Hal has over twenty years of experience in finance, investing, and operating positions. He has completed dozens of investment transactions totaling over $900 million as investor, portfolio company executive, and advisor.
Prior to joining Accordion, Hal was head of finance for MDx Medical, Inc. a private equity-backed healthcare IT company which was named number 47 on Inc. 500 list in 2012. During Hal’s tenure the company raised over $25mm in capital.

Hal began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he participated in public offerings of debt and equity, M&A advisory deals, and principal transactions with DLJ Merchant Banking. From there, he went on to work at the Carlyle Group in Washington, DC, where he managed numerous principal investments including buyouts and minority investments in fields such as media, e-commerce, retail and healthcare.
After business school, Hal became a Principal at Bessemer. Hal later served as a finance and strategy professional for iFormation Group, a joint venture between Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic Partners and Boston Consulting Group.
Hal earned his MBA from Stanford University and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown University. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Leonor Ayala, the northeast region bureau chief for Telemundo, and their son, Diego.
