Adams Street Partners hires Hart as partner and Asia business dev head

Adams Street Partners has named Ben Hart as a partner and head of business development in Asia. The appointment becomes effective January 19. Previously, Hart worked at Capital Dynamics where he served as managing director and chief operating officer of Asia.

Chicago, IL – January 11, 2016 – Adams Street Partners today announced the appointment of Ben Hart as Partner and Head of Business Development in Asia, effective January 19th. In his new role Ben will lead business development efforts from the Singapore office, working to further develop the firm’s presence in Asia. Adams Street Partners’ investments in Asia are managed from offices in Singapore, Beijing and Tokyo.

Ben has nearly twenty years of experience living in and building businesses in Asia. He joins Adams Street Partners from global private equity firm Capital Dynamics, where he was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Asia, and managed the firm’s business development efforts in Asia and North America.

Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Ben was based in Singapore and served as Managing Director at Aircom International, following his experience in Beijing focused on business development for both Alliance Digital and Convergys Corporation. Ben speaks and reads Mandarin, and has done business in 17 markets across the Asia Pacific region.

In December 2015, Adams Street announced that Yar-Ping Soo was appointed to lead the firm’s Asian investment team. Ben Hart will join Yar-Ping Soo in Adam Street’s Singapore office.
