Adrian Fenty joins Perkins Coie

Adrian Fenty, a special advisor to Andreessen Horowitz and a former mayor of Washington, D.C., has joined Perkins Coie LLP to work for the law firm’s business development arm in Silicon Valley. Fenty will work to sign new clients and expand existing relationships for the firm’s emerging companies and venture capital practice.

In September 2012, Fenty, who served as mayor from 2007 to 2011, joined Andreessen Horowitz as a part-time special advisor to focus on tech innovations related to education and government. Fenty is well-known for revamping the D.C. public education system during his tenure as mayor.
