Advent International, Cinven and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority have joined forced to bid for ThyssenKrupp’s lifts business, the Financial Times is reporting. EQT has dropped out of the race while Kone, the Finnish maker of elevators, and Japan’s Hitachi are expected to bid, the story said. Thyssenkrupp is examining options for its lifts business which could sell for more than $20 billion, the FT said.
