Alberta Enterprise Needs new CEO

Alberta Enterprise, the Canada-based investor in early stage VCs that back tech companies, is looking for a new CEO. Applicants have until mid-August to apply at the investor’s site. The firm was launched in 2008 with $100 million from the Government of Alberta.

Alberta Enterprise is seeking a Chief Executive Officer
Alberta Enterprise invests in venture capital (VC) funds that finance early stage, technology companies in Alberta and beyond. Launched in 2008 with a $100 million investment from the Government of Alberta, Alberta Enterprise invests in VC funds that have a track record of success, strong global networks, and demonstrated commitments to both the province of Alberta and its VC and technology industries. Alberta Enterprise also supports Alberta’s VC ecosystem by connecting investors, entrepreneurs, and experienced technology executives who share our passion for building a thriving knowledge-based economy in the Province.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, you are responsible for guiding and overseeing the organization’s strategic direction, and achieving annual performance objectives. As the ideal candidate, you have 10+ years experience in the venture capital industry, and are an exceptional leader and relationship-builder comfortable working with a wide variety of important stakeholders, including various levels of government. You provide strong leadership to the Edmonton- and Calgary-based team, within an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
