Alex DeAraujo has joined Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe as an operating executive within the firm’s portfolio management group. He previously was a senior manager with Bain & Co., focused on operating initiatives for PE deals and post-M&A integration.
Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (the “Firm”), the largest private equity investor exclusively focused on information/ business services and healthcare, today announced that it has named Alex DeAraujo as an Operating Executive. Mr. DeAraujo was most recently a Senior Manager at Bain & Company, where he worked on operating initiatives for numerous private equity deals and post-merger integration projects.
Mr. DeAraujo will be a member of the WCAS Resources Group, which is currently comprised of 20 professionals who utilize their industry expertise and relationships to assist in sourcing deals, conducting due diligence, and implementing operational initiatives within the Firm’s portfolio companies. Over the last several years, Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe has significantly expanded its Resources Group team.

Mr. DeAraujo has over twelve years of experience. In addition to working at Bain & Company, he spent over five years at General Electric in business development, corporate audit and the technical leadership program. Mr. DeAraujo earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
