Alex Edwards has joined the Shanghai office of placement agent C.P. Eaton Partners, as a vice president leading expansion into Australia, New Zealand and South Asia. He previously was with Franklin Templeton Investments in Hong Kong and London.

C.P. Eaton Partners, LLC, a leading global independent placement agent, is pleased to announce that Alex Edwards has joined its Shanghai office as a Vice President to lead the company’s development in Australia, New Zealand and South Asia

Alex brings 14 years of international experience in the financial services industry, 10 years of which is in Asia Pacific. Alex’s experience spans multiple sectors of the industry in strategic leadership positions across cultures and jurisdictions.

Prior to joining C.P. Eaton Partners, Alex was with Franklin Templeton Investments based in Hong Kong and London. Prior to this, he was a Vice President at Credit Suisse First Boston based in London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and New York. Alex began his career with MLC in Sydney.

Alex has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Economics and Psychology from the University of Sydney where he was a resident of St. Paul’s College. He was awarded a scholarship to attend the Advanced Management Programme at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
