Almanac Realty Investors, a provider of growth capital to public and private real estate companies, has appointed Andrew M. Silberstein as partner. Silberstein joined Almanac in 2009 as a managing director. During this time, he has led the firm’s investments in RXR Realty, Welsh Property Trust, and Westcore Properties and currently serves as a director of each of those three firms.

Silberstein, 44, joined Almanac in 2009 as a Managing Director and has been responsible for the origination, structuring and management of several of the firm’s recent investments. During this time, he has led the firm’s investments in RXR Realty, Welsh Property Trust, and Westcore Properties, which total $485 million to date. He currently serves as a director of each of those three firms.

Before coming to Almanac, Silberstein served as the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Stoltz Real Estate, from 2004 through 2008. During the same period, he established his own firm, AMS Real Estate Partners. From 1994 through 2004, Silberstein worked in real estate investment banking and private equity, first at Bear Stearns and then Morgan Stanley. He has been a member of NAREIT, ULI, ICSC and the Real Estate Roundtable.
Silberstein graduated from Yale University in 1989 and received an M.B.A. in 1995 from New York University Stern School of Business, where he was a Glucksman Fellow. He lives in Westchester County with his wife and three children.
