Françoise Saget Linvosges, a French mail-order company specializing in household linens, has been acquired by Alpha Private Equity Funds, which specializes in family-owned businesses and corporate spin-outs.
Françoise Saget Linvosges is the leading French mail order company specialised in household linens. After a successful spin-off from the Yves Rocher group organised by Activa Capital in 2006, Françoise Saget merged in 2007 with Linvosges, an upscale household linen designer and retailer. Yves Rocher remained a minority shareholder alongside Activa Capital and the management.
François Saget Linvosges has known a strong and continuous growth under Activa Capital ownership and management by Marie-François Kerhuel, the CEO. In 3 years, the turnover has grown from 48 M€ to 130 M€.
Christophe Parier, Partner at Activa Capital, said: « The Françoise Saget Linvosges story illustrates Activa Capital’s expertise in the field of corporate spin-offs behind top managers and our capacity to implement successful build-up strategies. There is still plenty of growth potential for Françoise Saget Linvosges, especially through new acquisitions in France and abroad.”
Thomas Mulliez, Director at Alpha Associés Conseil added: « Alpha Private Equity Fund 5 is very happy to have completed this transaction. The decision was easy to make considering the management team (led by Marie-Françoise Kerhuel and Stéphane Poumailloux), the successful multi-channel strategy (traditional mail order services, internet, and retail) in addition to the strength and the complementary features of the two brands Françoise Saget and Linvosges and the group’s growth potential.
