Amanda McCrystal Joins HarbourVest

Amanda McCrystal has joined HarbourVest Partners as head of investor relations and communications for HarbourVest Global Private Equity Ltd., a closed-end investment company listed on Euronext Amsterdam. She previously was with Bramdean Asset Management.

HarbourVest Partners, LLC (“HarbourVest” or the “Firm”), a leading global alternative investment firm, today announced that Ms. Amanda McCrystal has joined the Firm and will serve as Head of Investor Relations & Communications for HarbourVest Global Private Equity Limited (“HVPE”).  In this role, Amanda will focus on managing relationships with investors and prospective investors in HVPE. 

HarbourVest Global Private Equity Limited is a closed-end investment company listed on Euronext Amsterdam by NYSE Euronext, managed by HarbourVest Advisers L.P., an affiliate of HarbourVest Partners, LLC.  HVPE is designed to offer shareholders long-term capital appreciation by investing in a private equity portfolio diversified by geography, stage of investment, vintage year, and industry.  It is the only means to access HarbourVest’s investment strategy through a publicly-traded vehicle.

Amanda will be based in London, at the Firm’s U.K. subsidiary.  In addition to her primary responsibilities for HVPE, Amanda’s role will include investor relations for HarbourVest’s private funds and European client base.

Amanda joins HarbourVest from Bramdean Asset Management LLP, a specialist investor in private equity and alternative assets, where she was Head of Investor Relations, Marketing & Communications. While at Bramdean she was actively involved in the listing of Bramdean Alternatives Limited as well as the company’s investor, analyst, and media relations.  Prior to this, Amanda worked in the media industry in public relations consulting, interactive television, and print journalism.  She started her career at SG Warburg Group working both in the bond trading team at SG Warburg Securities and then in the UK equities team at Mercury Asset Management. From there, Amanda moved on to become a financial journalist for the London Evening Standard.
