Arboretum Opens in Cleveland

Arboretum Ventures of Ann Arbor, Mich. has opened an office in Cleveland. It will be managed by new venture partner Jon Snyder

Arboretum Ventures, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced today that it has opened an office at the BioEnterprise facility in Cleveland, OH. The office will be managed by Jon J. Snyder, who is joining Arboretum Ventures as a venture partner.

Arboretum Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm focused primarily on investments in medical technology and healthcare services.

Arboretum Ventures founder and Managing Director, Jan Garfinkle said, We are excited about the investment activity in Ohio. Mr. Snyder brings over 20 years of management experience in biomedical and healthcare sales and marketing with significant experience in bringing new products into the marketplace. His background covers business development, product development, market management, and sales management. He has helped launch and manage products in the neurology, neurosurgery, urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, spine, endoscopy, sterilization, and infection prevention markets at small and large companies including Cyberonics, Cardinal Health, Imalux, and STERIS. Mr. Snyder has a B.S. in Communication from Ohio University. He joined BioEnterprise in January 2008, as CEO in Residence where he presently identifies promising early stage opportunities, shapes the business concept, leads fundraising, and company initiation, targeting the neurostimulation market.
