“Email management and archiving are critical for businesses today,” said Todd Gates, CEO of ArcMail Technology. “New legal processes, industry regulations and compliance standards are forcing the issue, and there is increasing understanding that email holds critical business information and should be captured and stored in such a way that it can be easily searched and retrieved.”

ArcMail's flagship product, ArcMail Defender captures all inbound, outbound and internal email using the journaling function of companies' mail servers, which indexes the email header and text information. ArcMail Defender allows easy storage and retrieval giving organizations a simple way to manage email. The appliance operates on the Linux platform and is compatible with MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, Groupwise and more than a dozen other mail servers with SMTP journaling functionality. It is also compatible with Microsoft Active Directory, which allows for automatic user account management.

“This investment supports our understanding that there is a huge market for email management and archiving products, and that solutions like ours are now mission critical to business,” added Gates. “We are pleased to have a community of investors that trust in the strength of this market and our product line. The market has shown that it is ready for reliable, easy to use cost-effective solutions like ArcMail Defender, which is having a tremendous positive impact on our customers' businesses.”
