Astute, which is backed by Audax Private Equity, has acquired Montreal-based iperceptions, a provider of customer experience management software. No financial terms were disclosed. Iperceptions secured funding from Telesystem, XPND Capital and other investors.

The Company
iperceptions is a provider of customer experience management software based in Montreal, Canada. iperceptions’ brand-initiated consumer feedback software, reporting, and analytics tools help global brands better understand and synthesize customer sentiment.

The Deal
Astute, Inc. (“Astute”), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity (“Audax”), has completed the acquisition of iperceptions, representing the company’s first acquisition since Audax’ investment.

The Thesis
In April of 2019, Audax acquired Astute, a leading provider of SaaS-based, omnichannel consumer engagement software. Based in Columbus, OH, Astute enables leading global brands to protect, engage, and grow relationships with customers through AI-driven agent desktop CRM solutions and digital self-service software. The acquisition of iperceptions adds a complementary enterprise-level customer base and voice of customer (“VoC”) software capabilities that will increase Astute’s touchpoints across the customer journey and help global brands develop a unified view of the customer across all channels.
