The Company
Arizona Urology Specialists (“AUS”) is a urology platform of 24 providers headquartered in Phoenix, AZ with 10 additional locations throughout the Phoenix area.
The Deal
United Urology Group (“UUG”), a portfolio company of Audax Private Equity (“Audax”), has completed the acquisition of Arizona Urology Specialists (“AUS”), representing the company’s eighth acquisition since Audax’ investment and third regional platform outside of Maryland.
The Thesis
In August 2016, Audax partnered with United Urology Group (“UUG”), a leading urology physician practice management company based in Maryland. In addition to continuing to grow organically, UUG will look to continue building on its leading national platform through acquisitions in existing and new markets. To support this strategy, the Company is seeking add-on acquisition opportunities of all sizes, from small tuck-ins in Maryland, Tennessee, Colorado, and Arizona to regional “platform” acquisitions.
