SFW Capital Partners has recapitalized for the second time its portfolio company AGDATA, which provides strategic data and analytical solutions to agricultural inputs and animal health manufacturers. The proceeds of the recap, as a result of increasing the company's term loan, were used to fund a cash distribution to shareholders.
Datical, which supports proven open source projects for use in enterprise environments, has raised $3 million in Series A funding led by Mercury Fund. Austin Ventures and other investors also participated in the funding round. Datical will use the funding to expand development and marketing of its Database Change Management solution, Datical DB, and to respond to increasing customer demand in the rapidly growing DevOps market.

Crowdtilt, a platform for collecting or fundraising from small-scale to large-scale group experiences, has raised $23 million in Series B funding. The funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from SV Angel as well as Sean Parker, Matt Mullenweg, Oliver Jung, DCM, Felicis Ventures, Naval Ravikant, Alexis Ohanian, Elad Gil and others.
Rimrock Midstream, which is backed by Energy Capital Partners, has named Randy Bruce executive vice president of operations. Bruce, who will be responsible for engineering, construction and terminal/pipeline operations, most recently directed the operations of the 500-mile Seaway pipeline.

PassportParking, which provides cloud-based parking management solutions, has raised $6 million in Series A funding co-led by Grotech Ventures and Relevance Capital with participation from a consortium of angel investors. The latest financing will be used to scale the company's sales, marketing and engineering efforts to help support rising customer demand from parking providers globally.
Bovie Medical Corporation, which makes electrosurgical products, has completed a $7 million funding through Great Point Partners. Gilford Securities acted as sole placement agent. Along with the funding, Bovie's board appointed Robert Gershon as the company's chief executive officer, replacing Andrew Makrides, who will take over the role of executive chairman of the board.
