Bain Capital Private Equity has agreed to acquire Bugaboo, a Dutch maker of mobility products. No financial terms were disclosed. Kirkland & Ellis International LLP advised Bain Capital Private Equity on the deal.
ION Investment Group has agreed to acquire Openlink Financial from Hellman & Friedman. No financial terms were disclosed. UBS Investment Bank was financial adviser to ION on the transaction while Centerview Partners LLC did likewise for Openlink. ION is a provider of trading and workflow automation software solutions to financial institutions, central banks, governments and corporations.
New York City and Dallas-based based New MainStream Capital, a lower-middle market-focused private equity firm, has raised $241.4 million for its third fund, according to an SEC filing. The target is $350 million.
Fort Worth, Texas-based FTS International, a provider of hydraulic fracturing services, has debuted its IPO of 19.5 million shares at $18 per share. The stock began trading February 2, 2018 on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “FTSI.” Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley are the lead underwriters. FTSI’s backers include RRJ Capital and Temasek.
Oak Hill Capital Partners has closed its previously announced buyout of Safe Fleet Holdings LLC from Sterling Group. No financial terms were disclosed. Belton, Missouri-based Safe Fleet provides safety and productivity solutions for fleet vehicles. Morgan Stanley and Harris Williams were financial advisers to Safe Fleet on the deal. Willkie Farr & Gallagher was legal counsel.
Audax Private Equity has recapitalized Latham, New York-based Protective Industrial Products Global Holdings Inc, a provider of hand protection products and other consumable personal protective equipment. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction that was done in partnership with PIP Global co-founders the Milot and Tao families. EC Mergers and Acquisitions was financial adviser to PIP Global with Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC providing legal counsel to PIP Global and the Milot and Tao families. Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided counsel to Audax.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Quick Base, a provider of low-code application development platforms, has named Cynthia Gumbert as vice president of marketing. Her work background includes leadership roles at Markforged, CA Technologies, Dell and MessageOne. Quick Base is backed by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.
Pamlico Capital has made an investment in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania-based Office Practicum, a provider of electronic health record and practice management software. No financial terms were disclosed. As a result of the Pamlico investment, Bluff Point Associates is exiting Office Practicum.
Investment banking adviser Evercore has named Peter Brundage as a senior managing director in its advisory practice. Previously, Brundage worked at Goldman Sachs where he was most recently a managing director in investment banking.
Virtus Investment Partners Inc has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Sustainable Growth Advisors, an investment manager. The seller is Estancia Capital Management. No financial terms were disclosed. Sandler O'Neill & Partners L.P. served as financial adviser to Virtus while Broadhaven Capital Partners LLC did likewise for SGA.
