Longitude Capital has promoted Dr. Josh Richardson to managing director. Richardson originally was hired by the company in 2011. Then from 2014 to early 2016, Richardson worked at HealthCor Management where he served as a public equities analyst. In 2016, Richardson rejoined Longitude Capital.
Mapletree Investments Pte Ltd has acquired Oakwood Worldwide, a provider of corporate housing and serviced apartment solutions. No financial terms were disclosed.

Dallas-based Covey Park, an oil and gas exploration and production company, has acquired additional assets in the Haynesville shale area of North Louisiana from Chesapeake for $465 million. Covey Park funded a portion of the deal with additional equity commitments from Magnetar Capital, KKR, Triangle Peak Partners and existing backer Denham Capital. Wells Fargo provided financial advice to Covey Park on the transaction. And, Kirkland advised KKR on its financing for the Covey Park acquisition.
Pennsylvania-based investment firm Hirtle Callaghan has opened an office in San Francisco and named Dan Eagan as a director in its portfolio management group. Eagan, who will be based in the San Francisco office, previously worked at Alliance Bernstein where he served as a managing director.
London and Munich-based HgCapital has closed two new funds at a total of about 3.1 billion pounds. HgCapital 8 raised 2.5 million pounds in five months after launching last September while HgCapital Mercury 2 hit its target of 575 million pounds. Both funds will focus on investing in European software and tech-enabled companies. Proskauer advised HgCapital on the fundraising.
EMK Capital Partners LP has raised over $683 million for its inaugural fund, according to an SEC listing. London-based EMK Capital is a mid-market private equity firm.
Beauty Brands LLC, a provider of salon and retail beauty products, has named Caryn Lerner as CEO. Lyn Kirby, the company's current chairman and CEO, will remain chairman of the board. Previously, Lerner worked at Palladin Capital Group where she served as an operating partner.
W.W. Williams Company, which is backed by One Equity Partners, has acquired Phoenix-based Auto Safety House, a vehicle maintenance service and parts provider for trucks, pre-owned and new buses, and other vehicles in the Southwestern U.S. No financial terms were disclosed.
