Enterworks, a portfolio company of Black Dragon Capital LLC, has named Rick Chavie as CEO. Previously, Chavie was senior vice president of global solution management at hybris and SAP's customer engagement and commerce group. Based in Sterling, Virginia, Enterworks is a provider of software solutions that help customers to manage and communicate their brand and product information across various sales channels.
ATS Systems, which is owned by Grey Mountain Partners, has hired Allen Goad as CEO. Recently, Goad served as CEO of Affero Aerospace and Defense. Headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, ATS is a provider of workholding and automation accessories.
Microf LLC has raised $12.3 million in funding from Rotunda Capital Partners LLC. Based in Albany, Georgia, Microf is a provider of rent-to-own solutions for the residential HVAC industry.

Hanover Partners and Tuckerman Capital have acquired communications test equipment assets from General Dynamics. As a result of the transaction, which was done in partnership with former General Dynamics executive Ricardo Viloria, Freedom Communication Technologies Inc has been formed. No financial terms were disclosed. Viloria serves as founding CEO of FCT and is a "significant" shareholder. Based in Kilgore, Texas, FCT is a maker of instrumentation analyzers for mission-critical communication applications.
Industrial Growth Partners has acquired Irvine, California-based FMH Aerospace Corp, a producer of highly-engineered components and assemblies for the commercial aerospace, defense, space and industrial sectors. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction that was done with FMH management and some unnamed investors.
EQT has acquired the remaining 49 percent stake that it did not own in EEW Energy from Waste. The seller was E.ON. No financial terms were disclosed. In March 2013, EQT bought a 51 percent stake in EEW, a European energy from waste company.
According to an SEC filing, Equistone Partners Europe has raised over $1.28 billion for its fifth fund. Lazard Freres & Co LLC was listed as a placement agent in the document.  
AssuredPartners Inc, which is backed by GTCR, has named D. Michael Sherman as vice chairman. In addition to his new role, Sherman will continue as chairman and CEO of Dawson Companies, a platform company of AssuredPartners. Headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida, AssuredPartners is an insurance agency.
