Inflexion said Monday that it has closed its acquisition of CableCom Networking Limited. No financial terms were disclosed. CableCom is a UK supplier, designer and installer of network cabling solutions, particularly in student housing.
KKR said Monday that it has acquired minority stakes in three wireless infrastructure businesses managed by Associated Partners, L.P. They are PEG Bandwidth, AP Wireless and AP Towers. No financial terms were disclosed.
Foundry Group said Friday that it has closed $225 million for its fourth fund, the company announced in a blog post on its site. Unlike its previous funds, this pool will focus on "portfolio companies that have achieved significant success." CommScope Holding Company unveiled its IPO on Friday. The company priced its IPO of 38,461,537 shares at $15 per share, raising approximately $577 million. The stock is trading on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "COMM." J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank Securities and BofA Merrill Lynch are serving as lead underwriters. Based in Hickory, NC, CommScope, which is owned by The Carlyle Group, is a telecommunications equipment provider.
IK Investment Partners has raised close to 1.4 billion euros for its seventh fund. The pool's investors include Alberta Teachers Retirement Fund, Dansk Vækstkapital, HarbourVest, Hermes, MetLife Investments Limited, Minnesota State Board of Investment, SL Capital Partners and Varma. Campbell Lutyens served as global placement agent. IK Investment Partners is a mid-market private equity firm focused on investing in Northern Continental Europe.
Foundation Medical Partners, a healthcare tech VC firm, said Friday that it has hired Bill Geary and Michael Greeley as general partners. Both are based in the firm's new Boston office. Geary previously served as a general partner at North Bridge Venture Partners while Greeley recently worked as a general partner at Flybridge Capital Partners. The firm has also named Kevin Sharer, Chris Kryder and Tom Mac Mahon as executive partners.
Endurance International Group Holdings debuted its IPO on Friday. The IPO is selling 21,051,000 shares of common stock at a price of $12 per share. The stock is trading on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "EIGI." Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse Securities and Morgan Stanley are serving as lead underwriters. Based in Burlington, Mass., Endurance, which is backed by Warburg Pincus and Goldman Sachs, is a provider of cloud-based solutions.
AXIO Data Group Ltd, which is backed by Electra Partners, has named Hans Gieskes as chairman. Previously, he was CEO of Cision AB Group. AXIO is a provider of data and information products.
IlluminOss Medical said Thursday that it has hired Martin Aschenbrener as vice president of finance. Headquartered in East Providence, R.I., IlluminOss is a medical device company focused on developing orthopedic implants. It is backed by Foundation Medical Partners, New Leaf Venture Partners, Tekla Capital, Life Sciences Partners, SR One, Longwood Fund, Excel Venture Management, Pappas Ventures, Mieza Capital and Slater Technology.
Eyewear company Marcolin SpA, which is backed by European private equity firm PAI Partners, has agreed to acquire VIVA International from HVHC. No financial terms were disclosed for the transaction, which is expected to close in the next few months. Sonenshine Partners advised HVHC in the deal while Marcolin was advised by Lazard and Goldman Sachs. Based in VIVA International is an eyewear distributor of designer brands.
