CSL Capital Management has agreed to sell Independence Oilfield Chemicals to Innospec for a consideration of an initial payment of about $100 million. The deal is expected to be completed by October 31, 2014. Based in Houston, IOC provides completion, stimulation and production chemicals for the oil and gas industry.
Trinity Hunt Partners has acquired Miller Environmental Services, a Texas-based provider of industrial cleaning and environmental services. No financial terms were disclosed.
Skillsoft Corp. has closed its buy of SumTotal from Vista Equity Partners. No financial terms were disclosed. Deutsche Bank Securities was financial advisor to Skillsoft on the deal while Evercore advised Vista. SumTotal is a provider of integrated HR solutions.

TPG Growth said Wednesday that it has acquired a "significant" stake in snack brand Angie’s Boomchickapop. No financial terms were disclosed. As a result of the transaction, Sherbrooke has exited its investment in Angie’s Boomchickapop.
JAB Holding, a consumer-focused investment firm, has agreed to buy bagel maker Einstein Noah Restaurant Group for $20.25 per share in cash or about $374 million.
Carlyle has closed about $571 million for its fourth CLO fund of this year. This CLO will invest mostly in senior secured bank loans. Wells Fargo arranged the CLO.
