Avalon Lake Partners Hires Director

Avalon Lake Partners, an advisory firm for the alternative asset management industry, has appointed Michael Byl as a director. Byl will manage marketing and client-facing activitie, and also work with the compliance team on regulatory issues.

Avalon Lake Partners, an advisory firm for the alternative asset management industry, continues to build upon its platform by adding Michael Byl as a Director, rounding out its pre-launch and compliance activities, and enhancing its due diligence offering.

Michael Byl has three decades of experience in marketing, capital-raising and compliance. Over the course of his career he has raised in excess of $2.5 Billion, vetted a vast array of strategies and has started and managed multiple regulated companies in the asset management space.

Michael’s role at Avalon Lake Partners will be twofold. The first will be to manage marketing and client-facing activities, and secondly, to work with the compliance team on regulatory issues.

About Michael Byl Michael has 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, working with a wide variety of institutional quality investment firms in North America and Europe. For 11 years prior to launching Avalon Lake Partners, Michael served as CEO and CCO of two Registered Investment Advisory firms and a broker dealer, and executed business development programs for traditional and alternative asset management firms, raising over $2.5 billion in capital. Previous marketing experience included Julius Baer Investment Management and Pacific Financial (parent of PIMCO) after beginning his professional career with the Travelers. Michael earned a BA in Marketing from Michigan State University and holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 53, 63, 66 and 79 licenses. His philanthropic Board work includes serving as President of Amos House, Inc. and Vice President of the Ridgefield Playhouse.
