Baird Capital has acquired a stake in Paoli, Pennsylvania-based ReMed Recovery Care Centers, a provider of treatment for individuals with traumatic brain injuries. No financial terms were disclosed.
Paoli, PA, February 5, 2018– Baird Capital announced today that it has acquired an interest in ReMed Recovery Care Centers. ReMed is a top-five national provider of treatment for individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and number one in the Mid-Atlantic market.
Headquartered in Paoli, PA, ReMed was founded in 1984 under the single premise that individuals with brain injury have the potential to return to a life that is meaningful and productive. ReMed’s extensive continuum of care allows access at varying levels and stages of recovery, whether the injury is mild, moderate or severe. ReMed’s treatment philosophy has become a standard of care for post-acute brain injury treatment. Today, ReMed serves over 300 individuals in the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Louisiana in short-term, long-term and outpatient programs. With this investment, ReMed is well positioned for continued growth, geographically and clinically. ReMed’s treatment team works closely with the individual, the family, the funder and other stakeholders as part of their overall treatment philosophy and focuses on the person’s history, current level of functioning, future goals and plans for discharge.
“ReMed has an exceptional leadership team and a reputation for clinical excellence in the TBI rehabilitation field,” said Mike Bernstein, Partner at Baird Capital. “We are excited to partner with them in accelerating their growth and footprint in the coming years.”
“We are very excited to be working with Baird Capital because of their extensive history of investing in the healthcare space,” comments Joanne Finegan, ReMed’s CEO and President. “This partnership will support our continued expansion initiatives and our longstanding mission of serving individuals with brain injuries while maintaining the highest standards of clinical quality and excellence.”
Providing rehabilitation and supported living services since 1984, ReMed has enjoyed an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality, individually focused programs. ReMed has locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Louisiana. ReMed’s programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland have recently been awarded three-year accreditations from CARF. This requires a rigorous peer review process and demonstrates that the company’s programs and services are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality. NRLC, located in Covington, LA was acquired by ReMed in November of 2017, and is working toward obtaining CARF-accreditation over the next year. For more information, please visit www.remed.com.
