Battea names ex-Goldman Sachs MD as president

Battea Class Action Services has named Michael J. McCreesh as president. McCreesh is a former managing director at Goldman Sachs. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Battea is a provider of action antitrust and securities litigation recovery services, international litigation research and monitoring to more than 800 institutional investors, banks and hedge funds.

McCreesh, CFA, as the Company’s President, reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board, Peter K. Hansen.

Mr. McCreesh comes to Battea after 25 years with Goldman Sachs, where he built a sterling reputation as a hands-on Managing Director within the Securities Division. At Goldman Sachs, Mr. McCreesh, amongst other responsibilities, led the Global Client Commission Management business within the Securities Division and served as global expert on the MiFID unbundling strategy.

With the explosion in complex anti-trust, international litigation and securities litigation in general, Battea in the past several years has made a significant investment in developing a high performance infrastructure and has hired an additional squadron of trading, transaction and data security technologists, former claims administrators, seasoned financial industry experts, securities litigation analysts and econometric experts.
