Blackstone Growth taps Morrissey to lead European investing

Most recently, Morrissey was a partner at Battery Ventures.

Blackstone Growth has hired Paul Morrissey to lead investing across Europe.

In this newly created role, Morrissey will manage the European deployment for BXG, which closed its inaugural growth equity fund at $4.5 billion.

Most recently, Morrissey was a partner at Battery Ventures, where he established Battery’s London office and led many investments in global growth businesses. Prior to Battery, Morrissey worked at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on advising companies in the technology industry.

He has a BA in economics from Stanford University and was featured in Forbes “30 under 30” earlier in his career.

Currently, Blackstone has $619 billion assets under management, according to the investment firm.
