Blackstone Makes Brockman Official

The Blackstone Group today confirmed a three-month old peHUB story, that it has hired Ivan Brockman to help open an office in Menlo Park, California. Brockman previously was co-head of West Coast technology I-banking for Citigroup, and before that spent time at Goldman Sachs, Lazard Freres and law firm Wilson Sonsini. His formal title with Blackstone will be senior managing director of the firm's corporate advisory business.

Brockman is actually Blackstone's second senior professional in Silicon Valley, joining John Hodge. The firm also has a San Francisco office, but it mostly focuses on real estate and asset management.
