The Blackstone Group reported $1.6 billion in first quarter economic net income, or $1.37 per unit, up 99 percent from $813.9 million in economic net income, or 70 cents per unit, for the same time period in 2014. Total revenue surged 66 percent to $2.5 billion in first quarter from $1.5 billion in first quarter 2014. Blackstone’s total assets under management rose 14 percent to $310.45 million, the release said.

Blackstone has declared a quarterly distribution of $0.89 per common unit to record holders of common units at the close of business on April 27, 2015. This distribution will be paid on May 4, 2015.
