BoA Makes Cap Markets Hires

LONDON, Aug 28 (Reuters) – Bank of America (BAC.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) has appointed Andy Cairns as managing director and head of investment grade debt capital markets for EMEA and Asia, based in London, the bank said on Thursday.

Mariam Toulan will also join the London group in October as managing director and product head of EMEA leveraged loan syndicate.

Cairns fills a newly created role to drive the bank's international high grade origination business with financial institutions and corporate clients.

He will work closely with Brian Robertson, the EMEA head of investment grade syndicate, and will report to New York-based Alastair Borthwick, global head of investment grade debt capital markets.

Toulan will fill a newly created position to work closely with the leveraged finance structuring team and with sales and distribution to structure and price new underwritings for the bank's clients.

She will also be involved in the underwriting of corporate cross-over acquisition financings and will report to Joel Feldmann, head of leveraged finance and financial sponsor coverage, EMEA.

Toulan will join Bank of America after nine years at JPMorgan as executive director of leveraged finance distribution for European debt capital markets.

Cairns joined Bank of America from HSBC where he spent seven years, most recently in New York as managing director and co-head of debt capital markets.
