Brent will be focusing on partnering with business owners whose companies have been negatively impacted due to the COVID-19 world pandemic.

Sequoya Borgman, Managing Director at Borgman Capital, commented: “We are excited to have Brent join the Borgman Capital team to focus on our newly formed opportunistic special situation strategy. His background and experience are a perfect fit to help us pursue good companies with bad balance sheets and corporate carve-outs.”

Brent Adam mentioned, “I’ve known Borgman Capital since its inception. I’ve been impressed with their management and growth. I’m excited to be joining the team and feel my 15 years of mergers and acquisitions experience across a variety of capacities will be an asset to the team.”

An expert in financial due diligence, Brent has 17 years of finance and accounting experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Brent started his career with Ernst & Young, where he spent 11 years in the mergers and acquisitions group after spending his first 3 years as an auditor. While working in M&A, Brent assisted both corporate and private equity clients on over 100 transactions. Brent focused on companies in the healthcare industry and worked with numerous Fortune 100 companies, advising on deals ranging from $1 million to over $6 billion in enterprise value.

After leaving Ernst & Young, Brent joined a venture capital fund. Brent led the financial aspects of the creation of Form Factory to the ultimate acquisition of Form Factory by Acreage Holdings.
Brent received both his Master of Accountancy and bachelor’s degrees, with Distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Brent is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Brent serves on the board of directors of Olympus Group and is the Managing Member of the Adam Group LLC, an investment company.

During these unprecedented times, Brent Adam will be leading the efforts in partnering with companies struggling during this economic downturn amid the COVID-19 world pandemic.
