Boston Ventures, a leading middle market private equity firm that invests in the media, information and publishing, entertainment, and communications sectors, announced today the promotions of Louis V. Bertocci and Justin H. Harrison as partners.

Mr. Bertocci joined Boston Ventures in 1996 and has been active in the firm's communications investments, including the cable, telecom and wireless sectors. He joined Boston Ventures from Fleet Bank, where he was an Assistant Vice President within the Bank's Specialized Lending Division. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of portfolio companies Vista III Media Holdings, LLC; Harron Communications, LP; and EnTouch Holdings, LLC. Mr. Bertocci earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University in 1992.
Mr. Harrison joined Boston Ventures in 1999 and has been active within the firm's communications, publishing and information investments. Mr. Harrison joined the firm from Chase Securities, Inc. where he was an Associate in the Global Investment Bank. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Boston Ventures portfolio investments Integra Telecom, Inc.; Medley Global Advisors Holdings, LLC; and Home Pages, LLC. Mr. Harrison earned his B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College in 1995.
Boston Ventures has completed three acquisitions this year, investing in Home Pages Directories, an independent, regionally concentrated community yellow pages publisher; 21st Services, a leading provider of mission critical, life expectancy information that is currently used in the life settlement industry and the secondary market for life insurance; and Western Institutional Review Board, which provides information management solutions and compliance services that play an integral role in the clinical trial process for new drugs and medical devices and ensure the safety of trial participants. In addition, the firm has signed a definitive agreement to acquire SJI, LLC, a private telecommunications and broadband services provider serving southern Louisiana, and expects to close that transaction before year end.
