European private equity firm Bridgepoint has appointed Henry WK Chow to its European advisory board. Chow is former chairman and chief executive officer of Greater China Group at IBM where he spent more than 40 years in various leadership positions throughout the Asia Pacific region. This included more than 15 years as general manager of IBM’s Greater China Group where he was responsible for its operations in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
European private equity firm Bridgepoint has appointed Mr Henry WK Chow to its European Advisory Board.
Mr Chow is former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Greater China Group at IBM Corp. where he spent more than 40 years in various leadership positions throughout the Asia Pacific region. This included more than 15 years as General Manager of IBM’s Greater China Group where he was responsible for its operations in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Mr Chow also serves on the board of US semiconductor design business Advanced Micro Devices. He has served as member of Board of Trustee of Tongji University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. He also features in the 2011 Fortune List of 15 People that have had the greatest impact on the Chinese economy in the last 15 years.

The Advisory Board provides Bridgepoint with an external perspective on strategic, political and social matters as well as insight into the Firm’s sector interests.
