Brookfield Asset Management is in talks to buy the payments business of the United Arab Emirates' largest lender First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC, sources told Bloomberg.

Brookfield Asset Management is in talks to buy the payments business of the United Arab Emirates’ largest lender First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC, sources told Bloomberg. The Canadian investor is the frontrunner to acquire the Magnati unit, sources said. A deal will likely value the business at more than $1 billion.
