The buyer and financial terms were not disclosed. Based in Gilroy, Calif., MainStreet Media Group is a publisher of traditional newspapers, alternative publications, niche publications and various websites.

MainStreet Communications LLC published newspapers and related print and electronic products in various communities in San Diego County, CA, including La Jolla, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carmel Valley, Rancho Santa Fe, Poway and Ramona. The MainStreet Communications publications were sold to an affiliate of the San Diego Union Tribune.
MainStreet Media Group’s Amador County cluster consisted of newspapers and related print and electronic products in various communities in and around Amador County, CA. These assets were sold to an independent investor group.
