Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. Names Two Partners

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., a an investment services company based in , appointed Timothy E. Hartch and Seán Páircéir as partners. Hartch is co-head of BBH’s equity investment management team, providing merger and acquisition advisory services to BBH clients and evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring investments for private equity and mezzanine funds. Páircéir works with global investment funds.

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Partners, Timothy E. Hartch and Seán Páircéir, effective January 1, 2010.

Timothy E. Hartch joined BBH in 1996 as part of the Corporate Finance Department, providing merger and acquisition advisory services to BBH clients and evaluating, negotiating, and monitoring investments for private equity and mezzanine funds. In 2001 he co-founded BBH’s first proprietary public equity investment partnership for qualified investors. In 2005, Mr. Hartch became co-head of BBH’s equity investment management team and helped refine and implement BBH’s flagship U.S. large cap investing strategy, BBH Core Select, including separate account portfolios and the mutual fund (Ticker: BBTEX). Mr. Hartch received an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Business School and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, and his A.B. from Harvard University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Seán Páircéir joined BBH in 2000 as a Managing Director, resident in Dublin. He has spent his entire 20 year career in the global investment funds industry. Mr. Páircéir’s current responsibilities include serving as Managing Director of BBH’s Dublin office and working with BBH’s asset manager clients on global distribution alternatives as part of BBH’s Investor Services business. He has been a key contributor to BBH’s success in building a significant footprint in global funds servicing and has also played a leadership role in the broader global funds industry, as Chairman of the Irish Funds Industry (IFIA) and a member of the Irish Government’s IFSC Funds Group. Mr. Páircéir is a frequent contributor to industry conferences and publications on European regulation and product innovation. Mr. Páircéir is a graduate of University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
