Brown Brothers Promotes Two to Partners

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. has promoted Jared Keyes and Jeffrey Meskin to partner. Keyes joined the firm in 1994 as a corporate banker. He has responsibility for the banking activities of the New York office. Meskin joined in 2000 and works currently as a co-manager of BBH Capital Partners private equity funds.

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Partners, Jared S. Keyes and Jeffrey B. Meskin, effective January 1, 2011.

Jared S. Keyes joined BBH in 1994 in Boston as a Corporate Banker. He currently has responsibility for the banking activities of the New York office, which include the Commodities Trade Finance Group and the local tri-state corporate banking practice. Prior to moving to New York in 2008, Mr. Keyes had been a Managing Director in the Corporate Banking group in BBH’s Boston office. Earlier in Mr. Keyes’s career, he spent ten years at Bank of Boston where he was an officer in New England Corporate Banking. Mr. Keyes received his BA in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University in 1984, and is fluent in Mandarin. Mr. Keyes is currently on the board of New York City Audubon Society, and Vermont Center for Ecostudies, and also serves on the advisory board of the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

Jeffrey B. Meskin joined BBH in 2000 as an executive in the Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory group and the 1818 Equity Funds. Since 2007, Mr. Meskin has been a Co-manager of BBH Capital Partners private equity funds and is actively involved in sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring investments. He currently sits on the boards of Long Lines, BarrierSafe, Tower Ventures, Noble Systems, Telarix, and Scivantage. Past Board of Directors assignments include Reveal Imaging Technology, Durcon, and Picis. Mr. Meskin worked previously with Coopers & Lybrand and Morgan Keegan & Company, where he was a Director in the Investment Banking division. Mr. Meskin received his BA in Economics with Honors from the University of Wisconsin in 1992 and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University Law School in 1995.
